The regulations of the World Trade Organization (WTO)

The International Law Department of United Legal Group perform continuous analysis of the WTO Laws in order to determine the most efficient mechanism for protection of economic interests of natural manufacturers of goods and providers of services by means of applying the WTO legal mechanisms.

The Department offers the following services:

• legal consulting of a customer on the WTO Law issues;

• preparation of the legal opinion related to particularities of legal regulation of various aspects of the customer’s activity within the WTO legal framework;

• protection of rights and interests of the Customer at foreign markets in the event of initiation of anti-dumping and compensation-based procedures against the goods exported by the Customer.

The lawyers of our Department:
- prepare legal opinion containing legal analysis of the situation, evaluation of risks and recommendations for the specific situation on a case by case basis;
- prepare the legal documents required by the competent bodies of the country, in which the procedure is initiated;
- provide for representation of the interests of the customer in the relevant authorities of Ukraine and of the country, in which the procedure is initiated.

• protection of rights and interests of the Customer at the national market with the aim to protect the interests of the Customer from the unfair competition from the part of foreign exporters.

The lawyers of our Department:
- prepare legal opinion containing legal analysis of the situation and recommendations for the specific situation on a case by case basis;
- assist in preparing of the legal documents required for initiation of the procedure in order to introduce the protective measures;
- provide assistance in establishing and maintaining of business contacts with the competent authorities in Ukraine.

• representation of interests of the Customer at rendering consulting services within the framework of dispute resolution under the WTO procedures;

• protection of interests of the Customer at the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) of the WTO (preparation of the relevant procedural documents necessary for addressing to the Panel, representation of interests of the Customer during the debates at the WTO Appellate Body);

• protection of interests of the Customer at the stage of implementation of recommendations given by the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) of the WTO;

• protection of rights and interests of the Customer in the sphere of non-tariff regulation;

• protection of rights and interests of the Customer in the sphere of intellectual property.
