Olena Lysytska, the lawyer of ULGroup participated at the conference held in Vienna, Austria on 21-22 February 2008. The topic of the conference was Intellectual Property in Russia and CIS countries.  Olena Lysytska made a report on the issue of Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in Ukraine. The presented report contained the analysis of Ukrainian laws covering the protection of intellectual property rights and highlighted the issues of legal support of the said protection. Protection of intellectual property rights in the courts was also evaluated. The reporter considered administrative and legal means of protection of intellectual property rights. The special attention was paid to the possibility of suspension of customs clearance of the objects of intellectual property rights when transferring them across the customs border of Ukraine by customs authorities including the cases when it is performed by their own initiative.
